Ruby Helen Chapman Collins

Ruby Helen Chapman Collins passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 12th in her home with many loved ones holding her.  She was 83 years young, born March 19, 1939.

She is the daughter of the late Curtis Lincoln Chapman, Sr & Hettie Pearl Ratliff Chapman.  Ruby is the baby sister of Juanita Pigman, Gene Chapman, Curtis Chapman, Jr and Gerry Baisden.  The Mother of Valerie Collins Adkins (Craig), Michael Keith Collins (Carla) and stepson Luke (Luther) Franklin Collins Jr (Jennifer).  The Mamaw of Angela Kristy Tackett (Steve), Amy Nicolle Brunty (Mike), Allison Collins, Katelyn Collins, Brandi Carte & Garret Tincher.  She is Mamaw Ruby to her Great Grandchildren, Blake Walls (Cierra), Joey Brunty, Eddie Brunty, Spencer Tackett, Brooklyn Tackett, Logan Jones, Madison Jones, Hailey Jones, Oakley Hudson and her Great Great Grandchildren Delah Walls, Levi Walls, Ethan Walls and Kinsley Everwine.  She also has many nieces and nephews.  We are so blessed to have had 5 generations sharing time with her.

Ruby loved gospel music, had the most Beautiful Angelic voice and played about any instrument she picked up.  Her favorite, a bass guitar.  Her siblings also sang and played so family gatherings were times of singing, playing music and sharing.

She is a member of Huntleyville Gospel Revelation Church in Lovely, KY where her funeral service will be held on Saturday December 17 at 1pm, with Harrison Baisden officiating.  Burial will be at the Community Cemetery in Rawl, WV, immediately following the service. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 AM until 1PM. R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY is serving the Collins family.
