Ruby Cofield Obituary
Gatesville - Ruby Wise Cofield, 77, passed away January 29, 2013 in Gatesville, NC.
Born in Galloplis, OH, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Kenneth E. Wise. Ruby was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a bible school helper. She was also an artist.
Survivors include her loving husband, Doyle Cofield; daughter, Rebekah Cofield Grimsley of Washington, NC; sister, Mary W. Cook of Roanoke, VA; brother, Kenneth A. Wise of Hoover, AL; grandchildren, Doyle Earley, Bronson Earley, Joshua Earley; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl G. Eason of Gates Co., NC.
A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington Street, Suffolk, VA by the Rev. Gene Asbill with burial following at Meadowbook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home tonight, January 30, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 pm.
