Ruby Huse

Ruby Irene Elizabeth Miller Huse, 87, of Frederick, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Citizens Nursing Home. She was the widow of the late Earl Huse Sr., who passed in 1992.

Born June 6, 1918 in Middletown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boyer. Ruby grew up on the family farm in Middletown. She worked for many years at The Donut Shoppe on Seventh Street and Motter Avenue and at the Holiday Inn in Frederick. She was a lifelong member of the Mormon Church, and faithfully attended the Frederick Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she also volunteered regularly. She was a marvelous cook who kept her family happy and well fed.

She is survived by five children, Geraldine Miller and her partner-in-life Michael Williams of Frederick, John Miller Sr. and wife Barbara of Walkersville, Larry Miller Sr. of Stanton, VA, Gary Miller and wife Lois of Stanton, VA, and Vern Miller Sr. and wife Debbie of Rocky Ridge, MD; grandchildren, James and Sharon Higdon of Middletown, Shauna and Michael Kemp of Frederick, Larry Miller Jr., and his partner-in-life Helen Hood of Frederick, Lori Miller of Woodsboro, MD, Vern Miller Jr. and wife Tara of Woodsboro, Angela & Scott Carpenter of Hagerstown, Jeremy & Samantha Miller of Stanton, VA, John Miller Jr., Tina Miller and partner-in-life Larry Reynolds, Christine Miller of Walkersville, and Edward Wayne Douglas of Scott's Hill, TN. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Miller, and her siblings, Katherine Lutz, Dick Flook and John Boyer.

There will be no calling at the funeral home. Committal services will be held Wednesday, January 18 at 1 p.m., at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Rte. 15 N. in Frederick. Pastor Timothy May will officiate. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Services, Skkot Cody P.A. in Frederick.
