ANDERSON — Ruby H. (Sturgeon) Ledford, 83, Anderson, passed away Jan. 19, 2010, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus, Anderson, after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Brodhead, Ky., and resided in Anderson since 1942. Ruby was a graduate of Anderson High School.
She was a homemaker and was a member of West Cross Street Alliance Church.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Ray (Carol) Ledford of Anderson and Ronald Bruce (Peggy) Ledford of Anderson; five grandchildren, Michael (Angie) Ledford, Erin (Douglas) Dole, Tony Ledford, Jada Ledford and Toby Ledford; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Perrin and Ollie (Rash) Sturgeon; two brothers, Edward Sturgeon and Marvin Sturgeon; and one sister, June Smith.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with the Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the South Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Chapter of Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
