Rudolph C. Kastenhuber III

Rudolph C. Kastenhuber III, “Rudy”, of Willow Grove, passed away on May 25, 2018, surrounded by family; he was 66. Rudy was born in Hatboro, a son of Evelyn Kastenhuber Zurybida and the late Rudolph C. Kastenhuber II. He grew up in Hatboro and Wyncote, PA He was retired, but had a strong work ethic, and in his careers as a surveyor, at Xerox and more recently as the Public Works Coordinator for Cheltenham Township, he was known for his meticulous and exacting nature, with attention to detail. Rudy loved playing golf, enjoyed reading, preparing meals and eating out with family and friends. In addition to his mother, Rudy is survived by seven brothers and sisters: Christine Kastenhuber, Carol Riling (Jeffrey), Andrew Kastenhuber (Virginia), Susan K Roethke, Linda Taylor (Kevin Gay), Evelyn Frisch ( Robert), and Michael Kastenhuber; also sister-in-law Denise Kastenhuber, many nieces & nephews, and cousin Donald Bachmayer. He is also survived by a close circle of caring friends to whom he was devoted. Rudy was predeceased by a brother Walter Kastenhuber and his yellow lab Mandy. Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Wednesday, June 6th after 6 PM in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro, and asked to join in his Funeral Service at 7 PM. His interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Rudy’s memory may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
