Wonderful kind man. Beautiful frequent smile.
Deserved every "promotion" in his long career.
I began as a cop when he was with the City.
He married Theresa and I in his courtroom at the old federal building in 1993. A first for him (and me). A real honor for us as we both greatly admired and cared for Judge Randa.

I was fortunate enough to go in front of Judge Randa as a Milwaukee police officer on a number of occasions while he was a municipal and circuit court judge. I have nothing but the utmost admiration and respect for such a wonderful person, a sentiment shared by so many of my peers
My deepest sympathies to his family during this difficult time.

Dear Melinda, Rudy and Daniel,
I remember the Randa Family in church at St. Robert and both of the boys at St. Robert School.
Please know that I am thinking and praying for you in your sorrow.
You are fortunate to have such a loving husband and Dad.
May you be comforted by your great memories and the example of his service.
Blessings,
Mary E. Miller (former St. Robert teacher and principal)

Dear Melinda, We were so sorry to hear of Randy's passing. Although we've been gone from WI for 12 years and from Summit Ave. for much longer than that, we have very fond memories of Randy being a wonderful neighbor and fellow member of St. Robert. Our sympathies to you, Rudy, and Dan. You are in our prayers.

I served in the Army Reserves with Judge Randa and he was my roommate during two summer camps. He was a great man and an exemplar for all of us. Hopefully, his/her successor on the Federal Bench will possess his outstanding qualities!

My sincere and deepest sympathy to Mrs. Randa and family. We worked together in the City Attorney's Office in the Safety Building when Judge Randa first became an Assistant City Attorney, then again at Municipal Court as one of the court clerks when he became a Municipal Court Judge. While i never actually knew his family i have fond memories of his many stories about his mother urging him to find a nice girl and get married, about dating Melinda and arranging for a limo and flowers, about being in the service, etc. He was always very polite and considerate to everyone. He had deep moral convictions and a love for family and will truly be missed.

Was a new municipal court clerk who worked in his courtroom for the city of Milwaukee. The man had patience and ate extra Skippy crunchy peanut butter on the days I worked in his courtroom (it helped relieve stress). He was a real great person who worked to better this community. He will be missed by his family, friends and this country.

Dear Melinda,
While I have not seen you or talked with you in many years, I want to send my deepest condolences to you and your family. I have a happy memory of helping campaign for Rudy in one of his earliest elections and attending a victory party. What a wonderful career he chose, enjoyed, and shared with you. If I can help you now in any way, please contact me. When I became a widow, the most comforting words I received were to "lean on your friends" for support. Please include me in that regard. Again my thoughts and prayers are with and your sons.

To the family: Although I don't know any of Randy's family, I worked for him many, many years ago when he was a practicing attorney. I found him to be a very intelligent, kind and generous man. I have thought of him many times since then. My deepest condolences.

I encountered Rudolph on a number of occasions when he was a municipal judge. In my opinion, he was, by far, the most honest and honorable person in the local judiciary at that time. Unlike the majority of his contemporaries, he actually understood and applied the Constitution in his decisions. May God rest his soul.

Such a loss to everyone who knew and loved the Judge. His warmth, wisdom,,and friendship could be a role model to all. My husband had the privelage of being his bailiff for many years. He was a true gentleman and fair and tough Judge. A true family man who loved and cherished Melinda and his boys. We know that his faith has brought him to his heavenly home. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

Dear Melinda,
When Stanley and I met Rudy more than 41 years ago, we instantly recognized that he was a remarkable man, both professionally and personally. The world is a sadder and less worthy place with his passing. My deepest sympathy to you and your sons.

Dear Melinda,
Having been out of state as well as "out of the loop," this comes as a shock to me. I am so sorry for your loss. Rudy was not only a great judge, but a wonderful person, who always went out of his way to show me kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of working with him.

Dear Melinda: Ken and I want to express our very deepest sympathy to you and your boys.....your husband had a special place in our hearts, as Ken was his bailiff for so many years....it was a sad day when he retired because he missed the friendship the two of them shared.....I remember the lovely evening at your beautiful home many years ago with us and "the Judge's" young clerks and I remember the day he granted my sister-in-law her American citizenship where he invited us into his office for pictures....he was quite a guy and Ken thought the world of him....We are truly sorry for your loss and he will always be in our hearts....
God's blessings to you and your family,
Ken and (Allene) Bip Fride
