Rudy B. Martinez passed away after a brief illness on May 3, 2015 at the age of 81. Surrounded by his loving family. Rudy was born in Argonne Kansas, to Adelina Martinez & Frank Perez. They settled in California.
After completing High School he was drafted into the US Army, in 1953. He served in the 87th Armored Artillery Battalion 3rd Platoon, at the Rank of Corporal. Stateside Ford Hood Washington State.
Rudy Retired as a Supervisor for the Santa Fe Railroad after 40 years.
Rudy was preceded in Death by his beloved son John Martinez, his daughter in law Bernice Martinez & grand daughters Christina & Ashley Martinez. He is survived by his siblings Frank Martinez , Lupe Caudillo and Martha Ramos, of Bakersfield.
Rudy is survived by his wife Isabel Martinez of 59 years. Daughters Judy Villanueva (Michael), Patricia Smith (Jerry) , Mary Martinez (Richard), Elizabeth Hernandez (Mike), Sylvia Castillo ( Jorge).
Loving Grandfather to; Jessica DeLeon. Denise Martinez, Christopher DeLeon, Jorge Castillo Jr., Michael Joel Villanueva, Rudy Castillo . Michelle Villanueva, Toni Castillo.
Loving Great Grandfather to; Ezekiel Deleon, Isaiah Warmsley, Sophia Alvarez, Jorge Castillo III, Rudy Castillo Jr., Carlos Castillo.
Rudy enjoyed the company of his grandchildren he enjoyed gambling, and was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodger and Rams Fan. Friends & family are invited to attend a viewing which will be held Monday May 11, 2015 at DeYoung Funeral Chapel, 601 N California St. Stockton, 1:00pm – 6:00pm to be followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Cathedral of the Annunciation, Rose and Van Buren St. Stockton, at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Lodi Memorial Park.
