Rudy Miket Obituary
May 10, 1986 - Sept. 12, 2017
We are extremely saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved Rudy, age 31. Rudy was gifted with a generous open heart, an innate kindness, and a sensitivity well beyond his years. He is survived by: his mother Trish Wintle and her husband John, his father Randy Miket and his wife Ann, his brother Kevin Miket, step-sister Carly Wintle, step-brother Nick Wintle, his grandmother Jean Serrie, and loving aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
Thank You to: The Ridge Meadows RCMP Victim Services, The Kidney Foundation of Canada/BC Branch, BC Transplant Society, and Every Single Doctor, Nurse, Medical Technician and Volunteer who worked tirelessly throughout Rudy's life to give him His Best Life.
A Celebration of Rudy's Life will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2PM. Trinity United Church, 2211 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam BC. In lieu of flowers, We ask that donations be made to: The Kidney Foundation of Canada/ BC Branch or The BC Transplant Society or BC Children's Hospital.

Trish, I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember when Rudy was born and how difficult those early days were for you and Randy. Rudy was a beautiful baby and toddler. I remember his blond hair, big eyes and beautiful little mouth. He was really a sweet little boy with a lovely temperament. There are no words to help you with this loss but know that you are in my thoughts. Be brave, Trish.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rudy again when I was out on the coast 2 years ago and seeing what a fine young man he had become. I am so saddened to hear of his sudden passing. To Trish and family-may you find comfort in your memories of the all the special times you shared with Rudy.

It's difficult to say words of comfort to a mother who loses a child. Rudy fought his illness to the end and you fought with him every day of his life Trish, he was a lucky young man to have you as his mom. We are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Our condolences go out to you, John, Kevin and Rudy's family.

To Rudy's family and friends. You have my deepest condolences for the tragic loss of Rudy. I met Rudy at kidney camp, he was always very friendly. We were there for a week. It was always a wonderful experience being around Rudy. I will truly miss Rudy and all the good times we had. May he R.I.P. I will never forget Rudy. Again. I am truly very sorry for your loss❤

Rudy,
You touched my heart at such a young age. CIF was never the same the day you arrived on the ward. The day we got to spend together in Disneyland thanks to Dreams Take Flight I will never forget. Also going to Camp Dialsyun and getting to meet new people everyone loved you. You are an amazing young man and will be deeply missed by all. We love you Rudy.

It's still unreal to think that you have passed away. I hadn't seen you in person in quite awhile but I'd check on facebook every now and then to see how you were and you always looked so happy and like you were having a ball. Thank you for the time we had together, you were a sweetheart and will be missed so much.
