It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Rudy "Rudy Boy" D. Perez, 61, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1951 in Las Cruces to Enrique and Corrina De La O Perez. Rudy Boy, as he was fondly known to his family and friends, was a farmer by trade and had been employed by the Las Cruces Public Schools at Lynn Middle School for five years. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Margaret Rosales Perez of the family home; three daughters, Rosemary Perez (Richard Franco), Mary Ann Perez (Mark Velasquez), Henrietta Muñoz (Rudy Muñoz); his father, Enrique Perez; three sisters, Gloria Madrid, Rita Jacquez and Lori Melon; a stepsister, Dorine Perez all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Stephanie and Veronica Baca, Damian and Geni Chavez and Dallas Muñoz; a great granddaughter, Leah Clark. He was preceded in death by his mother; his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Rosa H. Perez, maternal grandparents, Hilario and Margarita De La O; a godson, Gary Villegas.

Services were held at Our Lady of Purificiation Catholic Church with Reverend Miguel Macaya officiating. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Doña Ana Cemetery where he was laid to rest.
