Rufus " Crazy Horse" Simmons Jr. age 76 of Dyersburg, TN. died Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence. Arrangements are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 6-8p.m. at McCreight Funeral Home 1607 Hornbrook St. Dyersburg, TN. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 16, 20201 11:00a.m. at McCreight Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. John W. Lewis, Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dyersburg, TN. Pall bearers will be Calvin Johnson, Frank Johnson, Parnell Mims, Melvin Shaw. Carl Hicks, Lonnie Starks. Survivors include his wife Mary Thomas Simmons, Dyersburg, TN., Daughters, Veda Simmons Robinson, Gary, Ind., Ernestine Simmons, Chicago, IL., Latonia (Carlos) Doss, Dyersburg, TN. Sons, Emmanuel (Stephanie) Simmons, Kansas City, Kansas, Nelson (Kathrine) Yarbro, Dyersburg, TN., Charles (Michelle) Simmons, St. Louis, Mo., Rufus H. (Andrea)Simmons III, Toledo, Ohio. Sister, Effie Barbara Simmons, Dyersburg, TN. Brothers; Robert Simmons Sr. Dyersburg, TN., Finas (Jackie) Simmons, Texas, Danny Simmons, Nashville, TN. Willie Paul Powell, Denver, Colorado. A special aunt Flossie Middlebrook Overton, Toledo, Ohio. A host of Grandchildren, Host of Great Grandchildren and host of Great-Great Grandchildren. Rufus was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus H. Simmons Sr. & Addie Mae Middlebrook Simmons., Daughter, Vicky Simmons.
