Russell L. Mullet

Worcester - Russell L. "Russ" Mullet died peacefully on October 8, 2017, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, at the age of 58, after a long illness.

Russell is survived by his parents, Edward and Donna Mullet, of Stephentown, New York; his sister Nancy Marigliano and her husband Bob of Athol, Massachusetts; and his sister Jennifer Mullet and her partner Kevin Holsapple of Nassau, New York. Russell is also survived by his nieces Amy and Raeanne Mullet, and his nephew Justin Hoffman, along with countless relatives and friends.

Russell was born on December 15, 1958 in Rapid City South Dakota to Edward and Donna Mullet. Shortly after, the family moved to Worcester, Massachusetts before settling in Stephentown, New York.

Russell graduated from New Lebanon Central High School in 1976, and later graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1979, where he studied electrical engineering. Following graduation, Russell returned to Worcester, Mass., and began working for Micro Networks, and most recently ES Components of Sterling, Mass.

Russell had a larger than life personality. He was an accomplished musician and played guitar in several bands based in Massachusetts, most noteworthy are the bands called Nauset and The Hat. He was passionate about his music and shared it with many. Russell was generous with his talent and always found a way to organize and play music to support a host of fund raisers for several families in the Worcester, Mass. area.

A celebration of Russell's life is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017, 11am at Greendale People's Church 25 Francis St. Worcester, Mass., with a reception to immediately follow in Fisher Hall. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Russell, please send donations to the Jewish Healthcare Center located at 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01609.

The family would like to thank all of Russell's caregivers at the Jewish Healthcare Center for their wonderful dedication and care for him. Their efforts and patience did not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. Russell will be dearly missed by so many.
