Russell Sage Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 30 to Dec. 31, 2006.
SAGE, Russell Sadly, we lost our Russ to lung cancer on Wednesday, December 27, at the much too early age of 68. A loving, sup-portive and gentle man who lived his life caring for family and friends. He taught by example and left us with a legacy of family strength. He will be missed by his wife Jan, son Dean, daughter Kelley and family, father Bill, and brother Bob and family. Memorial and reception will be held Tuesday, January 2, 1:00 p.m., at the Spruce Grove Alliance Church, 800 Century Road . If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, or the Cross Cancer Institute, a warm and caring place where Russ spent his last few days surrounded by family.

Dear Jan,
I have thought about you two so often. You and Russ were a second family to me while I lived in Edmonton and I will always cherish your warmth, kindness and generosity. Your farm was a little piece of heaven and I will always be grateful for the hours I spent there and the opportunity to ride Pepper. I am sorry I did not hear about Russ's passing, I hope you are well. Much love Cindy Jones ([email protected])

I was so sorry to hear about Russ. He will always be an inspiration to me as there was never one visit to our clinic that he wasn't smiling. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. God Bless Barb

Dear Jan, Dean and Kelley;

Although it has been many years that we have seen each other, I was very saddened to hear about Russ. I remember him as a very gentle loving family man and I know how much you will all miss him. My thoughts are with you during this extremely difficult time.

Jan, my sincere condolences to you and your family - I will miss Russ saying to me "Hi Sandra - how's things in Leduc" - I enjoyed having him work with me in Leduc and will always remember his quiet nature.
