The oldest of 3, she was born June 13, 1937 in Gera, Germany to Rudolf and Helene Oertel.

She moved to Grants Pass in 1969 with her husband and her four young children.

She was a revered wife, mother of 4, grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 5. She is survived by her husband Tom after 55 years of marriage. Also daughters Martina (Raelyn), Denise (Randy) and sons Mike (Traci) and Benji (Emily). Grandchildren; Rebecca, Amy, Timothy, Jenna, Reann, Kelsha, Krey, Kyler, Audrey, Gentry, Jed and Hunter. Dear Burton Family,

My heart is heavy both with sorrow and love for you . Thank you for sharing your sweet Wife, Mother, Oma with all of us. We are all better for having her in our lives. Her positive radiance was truly contagious - such a joy to be around. I am forever thankful for her friendship, her love, her laughter, her genuine concern, thankful for her. Keep her memories close - speak of her often - you are all the best parts of her. She is always with you, in your heart - in your mind. May you find peace knowing, her life was full - she loved each of you with every fiber of her being, she was grateful for every minute. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you now and always. God Speed.
