Ruth Juarez Gonzales, 86, of Arlington, Texas, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on June 13, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Louis Ochoa Gonzales of Arlington, Texas; her eldest son Ernest J. Gonzales and wife Sue of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her daughter Grace A. Bermingham and husband Mark of Arlington, Texas; son Louis Juarez Gonzales of Arlington, Texas; and Samuel J. Gonzales of Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn L. Cockrell and her sister, Nancy J. Garcia. She has 12 grandchildren, Amy Turney of Farmington, New Mexico; Charles A. Gonzales of Aztec, New Mexico; Casey M. Krill of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Henry P. Gonzales and wife Bridget of Bayfield, Colorado; Dana Lee Harris and husband Jon, of Westminster, Colorado; Barbara R. Krill of Broomfield, Colorado; Logan J. Davis and fiancé Dominique Bruso of Tuscon, Arizona; Ashley E. Bermingham of Arlington, Texas; William E. Bermingham of Arlington, Texas, Amanda N. Stockham and husband, Braden of Los Angeles, California; Steven L. Gonzales of Portland, Oregon; Ryan L. Gonzales and wife Kendall of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nine great grandchildren, Anthony, Klarissa, Violet, Rachel, Kruz, Kozell, Lowen, Lehric and Jonathan. She is also survived by her only Brother, A. F. Juarez and wife Margie of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and numerous nephews and nieces that she loved.

Ruth was born in Artesia, New Mexico to Henry Luevano Juarez and Luz Samora Juarez. She was a graduate of Artesia High School. She married Louis in 1950 in Artesia. They moved their family to Roswell, New Mexico and then to El Paso, Texas where they remained for 32 years and subsequently moved to Arlington, Texas. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Artesia, N.M., El Divino Redentor United Methodist Church and Tobin Park United Methodist Church of El Paso, Texas, and St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas and a member of First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, Texas for the last 12 years. Ruth was very active and served in many capacities in her church, first under the guidance of her mother in the United Methodist Women. For many years she served on different boards, but her love was missions.

Ruth graduated from El Paso Community College where she obtained her teaching certificate. She loved and devoted her teaching to many special needs children of the El Paso Independent School District, serving most of her career at Schuster Elementary and upon moving to Arlington, completed her career at the Mansfield Independent School District - Erma Nash Elementary, from which she retired after 22 years. She subsequently served Medical Center of Arlington, as a volunteer, in the Health Information Management Department, for 17 years. She enjoyed dancing, baseball, was an avid reader and loved to paint.

She left a legacy of service and inspired many to love God and to serve others. She reminded us frequently that you didn't need to look further than your own backyard to find others that were in need. She will be dearly missed by many who knew her.

A family graveside service will be held in Artesia, New Mexico; the dates and times TBD.
