Ruth Heineman

The funeral for Ruth Edith Heineman, 95, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with Dr. Greg Reece and the Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.Visitation is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.She died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Limestone Health Facility.Mrs. Heineman was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by husband, Russell Heineman.Survivors include daughter, Diane Gilbert and husband Bobby of Athens; son, Donald Heineman and wife Jean of Spring City, Texas; grandchildren, Max Gilbert, Kristen Gilbert, Bryan Heineman, Kevin Heineman and Douglas Heineman; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
