Ruth E. Bennett Jeter 82, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2010. Ruth was born in Clay Co. Indiana on December 27, 1927 to Lewis and Florence Bennett. She retired after 31 years from American States Insurance. Ruth was a member and volunteer at Otterbein United Methodist Church and member of the American Legion Aux Post 465. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Jeter (Jan. 1999), after 52 years of marriage. Loved by many, she is survived by daughters, Deanna Stark and Elizabeth Sturgeon; sons, Raymond Jr. and James R.; 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. We love you, MomGrandma! You and Dad, "Curly", Grandpa are together again and rejoicing with Jesus. Public visitation and memorial service will be at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon, IN, 76 N. State Rd 267, on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 5009 E. 21st, Indpls, IN 46218.
