Ruth Maxine Seibel, 90, of Greensburg, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Maxine was born on August 7, 1925, in Dupont, Indiana, the daughter of Giltner and Grace Marie (Ferguson) Wingham. She married Ralph Seibel on July 7, 1942 in Greensburg and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2015.
Maxine worked as a door greeter at Walmart for 18 ½ years in Greensburg. She really enjoyed her job because she loved talking and visiting with people. She also enjoyed word searches, puzzles, gardening, reading especially her Bible and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her Daughters- Judy (Norman) Schlemmer of Greensburg, Brenda Seibel of Royal Oak, MI; one Son- Jim Seibel of Greensburg; Grandchildren-Tim Ricke and Brian Ricke of Greensburg, Scott (Teena) Seibel of Cambridge City, Sherry (Chris) Woolston of Rushville, Christie (Mike) Noles, Robin (Joe) Shelata and Arin (Mark) Rafanowicz all of Northville, MI, Kim (Rock) Arnold of Hazel, SD, Chip (Lisa) Schlemmer of Greensburg, Julie (Ben) Greenlee of Greenwood, and Bob (Rachel) Schlemmer of St. Paul, IN; one Sister – Nancy (Jim) Weston; one Brother – Stanley (Carol) Wingham; Several Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren; and several Nieces and Nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Ralph "Bub" Seibel, two Sisters – Janice Bramblett and Geneva Miller, five Brothers – Delbert, Keith, Kenneth, Roscoe and Gerald Wingham and one Grandson – Jeffery Scott Seibel.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, from 11:30AM until the start of the Funeral Service at 1PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
