I spent many summer days in Rockford with my aunt & uncle Ruth and Doc Oldsen, and I remember Ruth Waller as a beautiful and classy lady. Ruth and Ruth were great friends and I felt so "grown up" when I was with them. I am sorry for your loss and am so thankful that she was in my life, no matter how long ago it was.

My deepest condolences to Ruth's family...while I do not know them I did know Ruth & Bob. While living in Rockford & working at Lynn Smith's office when he & Bob were associated in real estate, Bob was in and out of the office & often Ruth would come with him or come in looking for him. She was the true epitome of a "lady", always perfectly groomed and well spoken in that precise manner she had. However my most vivid memories are of Ruth & I sitting on Anna Vala's front porch. Anna at her treadle machine & her sister Lou Hermann in a chair doing hand work on some garment they were tailoring for someone (often Ruth or me) and we'd be rehashing the most recent events and in due time one of us would have a "fitting" in front of the big oval mirror in Anna's living room (if that mirror could talk, oh, the stories it could tell!!) Good people, good friends & good memories. I am so pleased to have known Ruth and to have had her for a friend. My sincere sympathy to each of you.
