Ruth A. Wise

WISE Ruth A. (nee Havecker) of Oak Ridge, NJ, formerly of Dumont on July 2, 2011. Beloved wife of 51 years of the late Kenneth W. Devoted mother of Kenneth and his wife Jane of West Springfield, MA, Patricia and her husband Terry Mastropasqua of Norwood, NJ, Virginia and her husband Kenneth Wentzler of Northvale, NJ and Cynthia Wise of Oak Ridge, NJ. Also survived by eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ruth resided in Dumont since 1929 before moving to Oak Ridge eight years ago. She was a graduate of Dumont High School, Class of 1938, and organized several of her class reunions. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years in Dumont, was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Haworth. Ruth has been President of Port Weighing Corp., NY, President of Port Storage Corp of NJ and President of Ashtabula Weighing Corp. of Ohio. She retired from the New American Library, Bergenfield in 1985. Religious Service Wednesday 10 AM at the Frech Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Corp or to the Shriner's Hospital, Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01108
