Ruth Lindhart Wooster the daughter of Lawrence and Esther (Blomker)Lindhart, was born in Humboldt, Iowa on December 27, 1920. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1938 and lived in Humboldt until she married Fritz Wooster, who was a Captain in the U.S. Army, on June 1, 1945. They lived in Eagle Grove and were happily married for 31 years, Fritz passed away in 1976. Ruth lived on Broadway until she moved to Rotary Ann in 2009. She was a long time member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Ruth Circle. Ruth's life revolved around her family and her many friends. She remained very close to her siblings and loved to travel with her sisters to visit her sister Kathy in San Diego. Until her health prevented it, she also made a yearly visit to California to see her son Fritz and his family. She traveled to Hawaii and Europe, but spent her most beloved times at the family cabin at Lake Jefferson in Minnesota. Each year since 1966 she gathered with all of her children and grandchildren for a noisy and crowded reunion that recently included great grandchildren. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family. Ruth's 68 years in Eagle Grove were graced by her many friends who enjoyed card games, parties, and each other's families. Ruth passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Rotary Senior Living, at the age of 93 years.
