Ryan G. DeVries

NORTHBRIDGE - Ryan G. DeVries, age 28, life-long resident of Northbridge, passed away, unexpectedly, at home.

Ryan was born on November 9, 1992 in Worcester to Randall J. and Shirley A. (Bos) DeVries.

He attended and graduated from the Northbridge School System, where he was well-known and well-loved. Following graduation Ryan participated in the Northbridge Post-Grad program, where he worked at various businesses around the valley with his friends.

Most recently Ryan worked at Target in Millbury, a job that he thoroughly loved. He enjoyed meeting new people and seeing his team members. He attended Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church where he took a special interest in the children. He loved to make them laugh and they looked forward to seeing him. He enjoyed playing video games, anything Disney (especially "The Lion King), drawing, Star Wars, Batman, Legos and was always singing. His family will miss his hugs and "I love you's" which he did multiple times a day. He was always happy and his huge heart will be missed.

He is survived by his parents: Randy and Shirley DeVries, with whom he resided in Northbridge; his sister: Cara McDonough and her husband James of Waltham; his grandparents: Gary Bos of Illinois and Ronald and Marilyn (Baker) DeVries of Uxbridge; aunt: Susan Vander Hart of California; uncles: Jeff DeVries and his wife Dawn of Michigan, Daren DeVries and his wife Pam of North Carolina and Steven DeVries and his wife Louise of England and many, many cousins. Ryan was predeceased by his grandmother: Clara Bos (Boer) and two uncles: Gary Bos III and Daniel DeVries.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 21st from 4-7 PM in the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church, 25 Cross Street, Whitinsville.

A funeral service celebrating Ryan's life will be on Saturday, May 22nd at 10 AM in the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church.

Burial will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ryan's name may be made to the Whitinsville Christian School, 279 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
