Ryan Hooper Obituary
Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 11, 2025.
Ryan Michael Hooper UPPER Ryan Michael Hooper was born to Earl and Barbara Hooper at UTMB Galveston on December 28, 1982. Tragically, Ryan passed away in an automobile accident on October 27, 2025. Ryan was with us only 42 years and 9 months, but during his brief journey, he left an amazing legacy and many good memories.
Ryan grew up in Santa Fe, Texas and graduated with the Santa Fe High School Class of 2001. Throughout his life, he worked in the food and beverage industry. For the past eighteen months, Ryan was employed at Jackson and Company, an internationally renowned catering firm that has been providing upscale service to distinguished guests from around the world. At Jackson and Company, Ryan was studying to become a Master Chef.
Ryan had many other interests and hobbies, but his true gift was in culinary art. Ryan could prepare astonishing meals using the simplest ingredients. That is who Hooper was, taking the simplest things and making them extraordinary!
Ryan attended church at The Way Worship Movement in Santa Fe. He loved open discussions during Bible study and was always anxious to share new mysteries that God was revealing to him through Scripture.
Ryan used his own life experiences - both good and bad - to help others. He was an encourager and a comforter at the same time. Always compassionate and willing to listen and talk with anyone going through tough times. Reading the comments on his Facebook page, there are many posts about how Ryan helped people during their most difficult days. Ryan Hooper helped more people than he will ever know.
Ryan was genuine, sincere, and real. He lived every moment of life with a certain spontaneous energy that filled whatever space he occupied. He loved people and people loved him.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Earl and Barbara Hooper, his brother Shaun and sister-in-law Noelle. Ryan is also survived by his grandmother Wilodyne Hooper, and Aunt Marydyne Hooper-Cox and husband Phil, and Aunt Paige Gilman-Accurso and husband Rick. He was predeceased by his grandparents Earl Hooper Sr, and Freeman and Ella Gilman.
Ryan's life was filled with challenges, but he never gave up or quit fighting. When life knocked him down, he got back up and continued the fight. There was no "quit" in Ryan Hooper!
Although Ryan's physical presence will no longer grace our lives, his memories will always remind us that through God, all things are possible. As you continue to worship Jesus up there, Hoop, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life is planned for November 15th at 2:00 PM at Arcadia First Baptist Church in Santa Fe, Texas.
