Ryan was in a sport management class I taught at Camden County College. We became friends through our mutual interest in tennis and played many tournaments and matches against each other. Ryan was a class act and an outstanding individual. My last memory of him is of a very fit and happy individual running around a tennis court. About one year later I heard about his passing on. I still have trouble processing this and it brings tears to my eyes as I miss him and feel for his family. I know Ryan is in heaven and in a much better place but the loss is still there. I do look forward to seeing him in heaven. My heart and prayers go out to his friends and family. It was indeed a pleasure and a blessing to have know him.

Thinking of you everyday. Still doesn't seem real that you are no longer here with us. It just doesn't seem fair that your life was cut so short. You accomplished so much on your short time here on this earth and you will never be forgotten!! You were a great role model and brother to me Ryan Lanza. I love you! Rest in Peace!!

A few days have passed since I spoke with you last! I had so much more to say. I wish I can tell you today! Ryan you are the best thing that ever happened to my daughter! You are and will always be the one! I always considered you as a son! Your legacy will live on forever in all of our hearts. It wasn't, until the last few days that I seen how many lives you have touched with your good natured heart! i know now the pain you have endured inside and still seemed to accomplish everything with pride! Your life was cut short but you gave everyone a lifetime of memories! I am proud to call you my Son! God bless you Ryan! May you rest in peace!

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry I missed the funeral. I had recently heard Ryan was sick and in the hospital. I never made it to the hospital or his memorial service. I just wish I could have paid him the respect he deserved. To his parents, you raised an outstanding young man. I pray that God will carry you through this until you are reunited with him in heaven. -- Nick DiCicco, his tennis partner, professor, and friend.

My heart aches for the loss of Ryan. I knew him as a student and a friend. He was truly an outstanding young man with a bright future. God often calls the best early from this life and He chose a terrific young man. I pray that he is in the arms of Jesus and away from the pain of this world. My deepest and heartfelt condolences. -- Nick DiCicco

A man among men
We lost Friday night
Feeling such peace
As he followed the light
The love in his eye
And the sound of his laughter
Remains in our hearts
Forever and after
Through all of his loved ones
He'll never be gone
Through each one of us
His spirit lives on
We all have a purpose
And something to give
With each breath
That we take
For as long as we live
Ryan can rest easy
With Angels above
As we share his gift
Of laughter and love.

Ryan J. Lanza was the most honest, hardworking, dedicated man I ever had the privilege of knowing. He was a friend to everyone. I haven't seen him in 5 years. My only regret is I didn't tell him what a great friend he was to me. I will pray for him and his family. May God bless you and keep you always.

I have three daughters but never had a son! If I had my choice of people Ryan would sure be the one! He loved my daughter Jen and had many many friends! He was also known to have had a big heart and when Jen brought Ryan to our home I knew that from the start! After his passing My heart has been ripped apart knowing that I will not walk my little girl down the aisle and watch Ryan waiting at the alter with a big smile! I dreamed of someday taking their daughter or son to a ball game for some fun! Or maybe take them fishing those things I will be missing! I love you Ryan and wanted to say I am very grateful that you treated my family and our daughter with respect in everyway! We are all so lucky to have had you in our lives! May you rest in peace with the Lord up in the skies! Paradise they say! I am sure we will all meet you there someday!
