RYAN SONEFF Obituary
Surrounded by his family, Ryan Douglas Soneff of Beaumont, Alberta, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2015, at the age of 34. He will be missed terribly and lovingly remembered by his wife and true love, Robyn; son, Gage, daughter, Jayde; parents, Noreen and Doug Soneff; brother, Greg (Sophie) Soneff, sister, Jennifer (Karl) MacPhee; grandparents, Carl and Irma Soneff; three nieces, Ella, Hayley and Keira; nephew, Karl. He will also be remembered by his parents-in-law, Shirley and Terry Mead; brothers-in-law, Trevor (Aubrey) Mead, Brad (Quaness) Mead, and Scott (Dacia) Mead; nieces, Chloe, Reana, Falyn; nephew, Linden; as well as many other relatives and wonderful friends.
Following in his father's footsteps, Ryan proudly served as a firefighter with Edmonton Fire Rescue Services for 7 years. He will be remembered for his kind- hearted, generous and loving nature. "Ry," as he was affectionately known, most enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, music and baseball; particularly his Jays.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our family and friends, the nurses and staff on Unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital, the AHS Home Care Team, Drs. Dusang, Wheatley, Jirsch, Ryan's team at the Cross Cancer Institute and Edmonton Fire Services for the care and support given to Ryan over the last two and a half years.
A Celebration of Ryan's life will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church, 10603 Ellerslie Road SW, Edmonton. A trust fund has been established in Ryan's name at Servus Credit Union. In lieu of flowers, donations to the trust fund will be directed to the Edmonton Fire Cadet Program, where a memorial award has been established in his honour, and to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada.

Too soon, it seems Ryan was taken from us, but his legacy will be one of honesty, love, friendship, loyalty and humor. I had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with two generations - both Doug and Ryan - and can say with certainty that these characteristics will be just some of the things Ryan will be remembered for. Ryan was a gem, loved and respected by his co-workers. A go to guy. We who were touched by him can call ourselves Blessed. May he rest in peace.

My brothers and I years ago would play with Ryan and his brother and sister when we lived in Ryedale Estates. It was always so much fun because they had a trampoline and their Dad was a firefighter.
