In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children,Jesa Iman Washington and Jeremy Zion Washington; brothers, Robert H. Quellie-Kennedy, Jr, George Zellie Kennedy; and sister Ceanea Caroline Cooper.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00am in the chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral and Cremation Service with Reverend Lewis D. Harris, Reverend Momolu Freeman and Reverend Reulita Woods-Marsh officiating.. The viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 10:30am. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

It is almost a year and I have just been hit with this very sad news! I am devastated! I knew Saba back in our Brooklyn days when we used to model for Moshood together! She was an amazing woman and I will miss her terribly! My prayers go out to her family. Rest in peace my dear friend. I will always remember you.

I just googled my long-time friend from Queens College to discuss your location in Charlotte with some folks from NC only to read this sad and shocking news! I cannot express my feelings of loss right now. I am totally shocked and deeply saddened. You were and will always continue to be a blessing to everyone you met. You were so very intelligent and mature beyond your years. I was blessed to be in your presence in the Student Center at QC. I will miss our conversations and time spent together. I am struggling so much with this. So many memories. Saba taught me so much about strength and resilience in times of adversity. She supported me through times of self-doubt and fear of moving forward. Many days and nights with our girls and husbands cooking and eating. I will always remember and cherish our friendship.
