Sadie J. King Sadie Jane King, 75, of Rural Retreat died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at her home. Funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 22, at noon at the Lindsey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clyde King officiating. Entombment was in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. She was born Oct. 14, 1936, in Smyth County, daughter of the late George and Frances Lucille Smith Blevins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace King. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda K. McFarland of Speedwell, and Patty and David Musser of Rural Retreat; three granddaughters, Shanna McFarland, Christy Musser and Amy Musser; two sisters, Dorothy Sullivan and Susie Miller, both of Edgewood, Md.; two brothers, Bill Blevins of Edgewood, Md., and Kenny Blevins of Joppa, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
