Dr. Sajjad Hussain

Hussain M.D., Sajjad, 72, passed Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Hansa, daughter Samina, who resides in Jacksonville, FL with her husband, Michael & son Peter, who was the apple of his Pappa's eye, son Fazal who resides in Boston with his fiancee, Kaitlin, and his niece & nephew, Suheel & Seema Hussain, from Olney, MD. Sajjad was a student of the world, with an insatiable appetite for knowledge, travel & culture. He spent time on many continents & called many countries home, before settling in Tampa where he devoted his time to helping others overcome their adversities. In his own time, Sajjad enjoyed his pet birds, golf, the water, and pursued a collection of wines, art, and literature. From his roots in India where he went to medical school, met his closest friends, and the love of his life, to his years in Zambia where he made many more friends, and finally to the States, Sajjad touched countless lives through his wisdom, humor, philosophy of life, and compassion, and will be dearly missed by all. A gathering will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 11-1pm with a service beginning at 1pm at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 813-968-2231.
