Sallie Campbell Holder, 95, of Fayetteville, died Saturday (Feb. 25, 2017). Mrs. Holder was a native of Madison County, Ala., and daughter of the late Jim E. and Pearl L. Humphrey Campbell. She was a beautician and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters, Doris Amelia (Loyd) Helton of Fayetteville and Dovie Jean Meeks (fiancé, James) McKinney; grandchildren, Dennis Helton, Deirdre (Jared) Pierce and Angela Meeks Cook; great-grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Helton, Jeremy (Lindsay) Helton, Rebeccah Shaddy, Eathan Shaddy, Sarah (Daulton) Simmons, Laura Pierce, Adam Pierce and Paul Pierce; and great-great-grandchildren, Kendall Helton and Olivia Simmons. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by a son, Danny Lee Holder; sister, Ruth Moore; and brother, Herman Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Hollow Cemetery beside her husband, Robert Lee Holder, who passed in 2000. Visitation with the family will be 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barnes Hollow Cemetery fund. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
