BARBARA C. HAMBLETT - MILTON - Barbara C. Hamblett, 77, died early Friday morning, Sept. 21, 2012, with her family by her side, in Starr Farm Nursing Center in Burlington. Barb was born on Oct. 11, 1935, in Essex Junction, the daughter of George and Helen (Gould) Ward. On Aug. 24, 1956, she married John S. "Jack" Hamblett in Holy Family Catholic Church in Essex Junction. Barbara was a devoted mother and wife, who was active in the community with her children's sporting activities as a member of the Milton High School Booster Club. Her community support was while a member of the Eagles. Barb is survived by her loving children, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Donald Hamblett and wife, Judy, of Alabama, and their children, Connor and Cameron; Stephen Hamblett and wife, Joanne, of Georgia, and their children, Cory and Kristi; Patricia Hulbert and husband, Tom, of Colchester, and their children, Tyler, Nicholas, Kara and Alex; Anthony Hamblett of Alabama, and his children, Cagney and wife, Melissa, Courtney and husband, Drew, and Austin; Lyn Cronan and husband, Don, of Milton, and their daughter, Dempsey; and Robbie Hamblett and wife, Stacey, of Colchester, and their children, Katie, Jensen, and Tate; brother, Robert Ward of Essex Junction; and by many nieces and nephews. Barb was predeceased by her husband, John S. "Jack" Hamblett Sr. in 2006; and grandson, Joshua Hamblett in 1991. The Hamblett family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Starr Farm Facility for their care of our parents! Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with prayers offered at 3:45 p.m. by Fr. Feltz, at the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Milton, with burial following in St. Ann's Cemetery.
