I too am a former student of Mrs. Barlow. Words cannot express the grief I feel for her loss. I loved her as a teacher and fondly recall seeing her after graduation when she still called me Marcia (Mar-see-a).
Please know that she touched so many lives and will live on in our memories.

Barlow Family:
As you know- Mrs. Barlow made a difference at Greenville High School. I didn't particularly like having to take Spanish-however, I enjoyed having Mrs. Barlow as a teacher. She was great!

To the Barlow family,
It is with great sadness that I write this. Sally was one of the most beautiful people I have ever known (both inside and out). She always had such a positive attitude about everything. She gave her co-workers inspiration and encouragement. It was my great pleasure to have been able to teach with her for many years at Greenville High School. She was always there to help in any way that she could. Her insight into people made difficult situations seem not so difficult. Sally was a special person to me and to my children as they grew up around the teachers at GHS. She told my kids once that she had been allowed to eat dessert first during a meal because she wasn't able to eat much at mealtime. They never tired of reminding me that some people could eat their cake before they ate the veggies. She was one of their favorite people and influenced their outlook on life.
I want to offer you our condolences in your time of loss. Heaven has gained a shining spirit who will make heaven a much brighter and happier place with her presence.

Dearest Barlow family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Barlow's passing. I had her for two years of Spanish in school. She was the sweetest, kindest, most encouraging teacher in the world. As sad as you all must be, take heart in the knowledge that she inspired so many young people to do their best and dedicate their lives to giving back to their communities as she had always done.
Bless you all. She will be greatly missed.
