Sally Kane, age 67, of Midland Park, NJ, (formerly of Waldwick, NJ) died September 1, 2025 at Villa Marie Claire after a long illness.

She is survived by her sister Susan Kane (spouse Greg Palitz), and brother Brian Kane (spouse Jeanine); nephews Samuel Palitz, Benjamin Palitz, and Rory Kane, nieces Emma Palitz, and Brielle Nagy. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward W. Kane and Dorothy Pfeil Kane.

Sally was a gifted lifelong ballet dancer, teacher and choreographer, and enjoyed an extensive career as a professional dancer prior to teaching. Her early training began at The Classic Ballet Company in New Jersey, where she completed the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Sally's credits as a soloist include the Los Angeles Ballet, Chicago City Ballet, Boston Opera Ballet and Burch Mann's American Folk Ballet. She also performed with the renowned Joffrey Ballet in New York. As a dancer Sally toured Israel, Italy, and the former Soviet Union. Her teaching credits include the Academy of Dance for the Performing Arts in Westwood Lake, CA, Stanley Holden Dance Center in Los Angeles, and In The Spotlight in Waldwick, NJ. Sally was a faculty member of Dance Plus since its opening in 1992, and joined Art of Motion in Ridgewood NJ in 2003. Each year she choreographed and coached performers for their annual presentation of The Nutcracker ballet. Sally also guest taught classical ballet at Rosa Parks High School of the Performing Arts in Paterson, NJ as part of an artistic partnership between Art of Motion and neighboring schools.

Sally's family and friends will never forget her wonderful sense of humor, talent for mimicry, and kind heart.
