Sally Lance Obituary
Mills River - Sally Bryson Lance, 72, native of Mills River, was called to her heavenly home April 1, 2018, Easter Sunday. Sally fought a courageous battle with liver cancer for two years. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred(Wilkerson) Bryson.
Sally was a lifelong member of the Mills River United Methodist Church, which she dearly loved, and was a member of the Choir for over sixty years. Her contagious smile and kind ways will always be greatly missed by her family and friends. Sally was employed by Eaton Corporation and recently with Triangle Stops.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Hall "Grayson" Lance, her son Kevin and his wife Taira Lance, grandchildren Autumn Lance and Tyler Williams, brother Ray and his wife Ramona Bryson, brother Ed Bryson, and sister Cheryl and husband Mike Barnett, her nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.
A celebration of Sally's life will be held Saturday April 7th, 2018 at 11:30am at Mills River United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10am to 11:30am prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice/Elizabeth house at 5815 Allen Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731 or Mills River Life Enrichment Center at 137 Old Turnpike Rd, Mills River, NC 28759.

Sally was one of my very special cousins, and I loved her. I loved her courageous spirit, yearning for life, and winning smile. When I was growing up, she was an inspiration for me, and I always wanted to look and act like Sally. I loved our summer picnics at Mills River and going to Aunt Lillian and Mildred's houses. Though I know that our earthly family circle has been unbroken by the passing of our loved ones, our spiritual connections will always remain. I love all of the Bryson and Queen family, and you will be in my thoughts.

Praying for comfort for family and friends. Sally always had a sweet smile and a loving heart. We will miss singing with her in the church choir. God has blessed us with knowing her.
