There´s not a day that goes by that I don´t think of our beloved Sal! He was one of a kind. There have been so many events or moments that have happened in my life since the day he was taken from us in 2010. Moments that I just wanted to reach out and tell him or situations that I would´ve love to ask him, what would he do?! He was the best listener, advice giver, teacher, confidant and stand up human I´ve ever met!! He cooked .. That sauce!! why didn´t I ask for the recipe?! Or pay attention more, like he told me?!? He was missed and is missed, every day that goes by! Aiden is 19 now!!! Forever in our hearts.. we love you Sal. I hope you´re watching over us, even though I wish you were still here on earth!! love to all xoxo

To Sal's Family,

Im sad to say that I haven't seen Sal since I was a kid maybe 7 to 10 years ago. Although its been years, I always considered him one of the funniest guys I have ever known. He always had a funny story to tell. In fact to this day I still make others laugh when I tell his stories. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

To Sal's Family,
I didn't hear about Sal until the services were over. I felt so bad that I couldn't go to pay my respects to your wonderful man. Me and Sal go back along way,him knowing my family. What can I say he was an awesome guy! I will never forget how much he helped my brother Tom. They were Bud's. Sal, say hi to my very loved Tom. Sal came to my LunchTruck in Rochester, and I would go outside and sit with him for the longest time and talk. My thoughts and sympathy go out to you all.

Angela, Michelle and Kristin,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your Dad. I met him in 1976 when I started working at the Carousel - my first job! He was a kind, caring person and always had a smile and made everyone laugh with his stories. Years went by and I would run into him and it was like no time had gone by at all. A smile will always come to my face when I think of him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry and sad for the passing of Sal. Though it’s been a long time….. I will never for forget all the fun that I had with your family. There was a time Sal was like a dad and best friend to me. He taught me many things about life and work and I’m very grateful to you all for sharing him with me. I’m sorry that I missed the wake. By the time I read the paper Monday evening it was too late. That kept me awake most of the night. The service today showed how much he was loved by the amount of people that attended. I’m sure he was pleased….. I’m so glad that I was a part of it.

God bless Sal and all your families.

I am very sorry for your loss. Your father was very special to me even though I never said anything. He allowed me to be a part of what was everything to him. His daughters. He never made me feel like I was an outsider in this family. I will always be grateful for the kindness he showed me whenever we were together and always made me feel that I was an equal in being part of the most precious gift he gave to the world.

I am signing this again - not sure what happened to my first entry. Forgive me if I do sign twice. To Sal's family - Please accept my condolences for the sudden loss. What can I say....except Sal was wonderful! The many, many times I visited him while he lived in Hampton Beach will be memories that are cherished forever. He was someone that I loved to converse with, listen to and truly loved his stories. Seems like he knew everyone or someone that knew someone that I knew...(I'm sure you know what I mean). He was a fantastic cook, and loved to cook for everyone! (and he really did cook better than everyone else) LOL. To Sal's daughters - 'he cherished you'...spoke about you all the time...and his grandchildren too. His family was his life! He would give you his shirt off his back, and then some!....the most generous man I know - especially with advice! A true LEO - for sure! He love the attention and everyone loved to give him the attention! I am so glad I made the time to visit him in August when I was in the area. We had lunch and talked...he showed me where he wanted to expand his home to bring his mother back to live with him. There is only one Sal, and I loved him as a very cherished friend! God Bless to his family. Janice Pfeiffer

My thoughts and prayers will always be with you guys - he loved you all so very much and spoke constantly about his daughters and grandchildren - you were his world! .......... My deepest thoughts & prayers go out to the family. Sal was a wise man. He had a heart of gold & he would help anyone if they needed it. He had many stories to tell & loved it when someone would just sit & listen. I will miss those stories. I will miss his sense of humor & lounging w/him in the yard in the summer. He loved the sun on his face. Sal was not only my landlord but he was like a father to me. I cannot say enough good things about him & I am very saddened that he was taken from us so early. I am grateful to have known him, he will be missed dearly & may he Rest in Peace!!
