Steve, Tina, and the McLeod family,
I am so saddened by the loss of Samantha. I remember how much time we spent together growing up, playing in the pool and eating ice cream at your home. I remember the field trips we went on at CHS. I remember her glowing smile and her charisma. I remember how much she loved you all, and the close relationship every mother and daughter are destined to share. I am sad that we grew up and grew apart, and that I was never able to witness the beautiful mother she became to Aubrie. Her love and charisma will live on and she will always be with you, even if not physically. There are no words that could possibly take away the pain and sadness that follow a tragedy like this. Sending love, hugs, and the creamy creations ice cream with the mini-chocolate-raspberry truffles.

No one can prepare you for loss; it comes like a swift wind. Nobody can understand how hard a separation is, then when one of our own children leaves us. We will never forget the image of her gentle soul and bright face. I will always remember her kindness and love for anyone she met. She was always such a delight to be around and put a smile on everyone's face. This just shows how wonderful her parents are. I know you and Uncle Steve will persevere and pave the way for Aubrie Lynn. Although we only had her for a brief time, she truly made a difference in the lives of many. In this sorrowful time, may the love of family and strength from friends comfort you. The love that you shared was so beautiful, and I know that it's this same love that will carry you through the darkest and most difficult days. In our hearts she shall be cherished and through our memories her spirit shall live on. I pray that God blesses you with comfort, strength, and peace. We love you all so much! Our hearts are with you during this difficult time.

Aubrie Lynn: It takes a special person to be a good mother. You are proof of your mother's great character. Your mommy had the ability to light up any room that she entered and was a blessing to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She will live in your heart forever and be the most beautiful angel to help guide you as you embark on life.

Love always,
The Contreras and Chaparro Family
