Sam, I was lost for words when I heard the news. I think I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you are gone. I'm also sad we didn't try harder to connect with each other over the years after graduating. You were such a joy to be around. You always had a smile and something either profound or funny to say. You said things matter of factly which always made me envy you in that way. It even made your jokes sound smart. I'm so glad I had the honor of knowing you and being your friend. Rest in peace.
