Samantha Mae Strahan 36 of Tomball, Texas, cherished daughter of Gaylon Wayne Strahan and Brenda Mae Strahan went to be with the Lord on Monday July 13th 2020. She was born in Amarillo, Texas on November 8th 1983.
Samantha who loved being called “Sammy” by friends and “Mantha” by siblings was an avid animal lover. She was the greatest dog mom to Paige and Ruger. She loved her bunny Flip also.
Samantha grew up in Oklahoma and always looked forward going back and visiting friends after moving to Houston. Being a big sister is something of which she was proud. Samantha truly loved her siblings and still referred to them as “kiddos” even as they all grew into adults. She was a fierce small girl that could usually be found in a pair of heels. Getting a little dirty never bothered her as she liked to fish, hunt, spend time at the lake, or go four wheeling. In her spare time you could find her watching her favorite movies or reading books. Her beautiful smile will be missed dearly especially by her “Mommy and Daddy.”
Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents Don and Hazel Strahan, Robert Sailor, Don Kite Sr. and her niece Landyn Tickle.
She is survived by her parents, Gaylon Wayne Strahan and Brenda Mae (Kite) Strahan of Spring, Texas, her maternal grandmothers, Clara Mae (Evans) Kite Sailor-Crump of Amarillo, Texas, Lyla (Gage) Kite Godfrey of Dallas, Texas, her sister, Shelby (Strahan) Tickle of Amarillo, Texas, brother, Garrett Strahan of College Station, Texas, and sister, Cori (Strahan) Pape of Conroe, Texas and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and friends.

I only knew Sammie for 15 months, but she became very special to me. Our dogs (Ruger and Scout) were buddies. I came to love Sammie because she was a special person. Always smiling, always pleasant, always sweet. What a wonderful young lady! I shall never forget her and will always consider myself fortunate to have known her.

My condolences to Samantha’s family and friends. Samantha was a good friend of my son, Jon. I had the privilege of meeting her but unfortunately didn’t know her very well. She was such a beautiful, kind and sweet young lady.
