This is a message to Sam & Debbie´s kids - who weee little tots the last I saw you - your Mom was a a gentle soul who I knew only in passing from my friendship from your Dad - but she was 100% goodness
Your Dad - Sammy as we called him - was a pillar of strength and stability to many of us in the recovery community
It´s been many years since I last visited your dad in the hospital - but he will be one of the very first people I seek out when I follow in his path, as well all surely will
I loved him - and every minute I spent with your Dad made my life better - that´s a quality in people that you may find only a handful of times in one´s life
Your Dad was important and was loved by hundreds of people - and we are all missing him
Gods Grace and Blessings to all of you

I met Sam at the American Legion Bingo. He became very special to me and touched my heart. At Christmas, I gave him 2 sets of cuff links and when he opened them - he cried. That really touched me. I enjoyed his stories, especially from his younger days. He knew many of my relatives and to hear of all the happenings back then brought much delight to me.
Sam will always hold a special place in my heart and prayers (daily).
I give the Riston family my deepest condolences.
