Eden - Sammie Lorena Plant, 86, of San Angelo, TX, passed away on October 14, 2024 in Eden, TX. She was born in Paris, TX, to Monroe Dunnam and Geraldine Brunson on January 3, 1938. She loved Pete Plant so much she married him twice, once on June 7, 1958 and then again on January 5, 1970.

Sammie is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings; Ronnie Dunnam, Lauren Curry, Gailyn Albritton and Larry Dunnam.

Sammie is survived by children Richard Plant of Buffalo Junction, VA; Melissa Ray (Tye, her favorite Son-in-Law) of Allen, TX; Clyde Plant (Janean) of San Jose, CA; grandchildren Jody Plant, Josh Plant, Olivia Zema (Anthony), Courtney Ray, Allison Harris (Courtney), Amanda Plant, Ashlyn Plant; great grand children Mackenzie Plant and Ender Plant; and brother Bradley Dunnam.

Also preceded in death by son Michael Williams and survived by son Rick Brunson of Arlington, TX.

Private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of San Angelo. The family of Sammie wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Hospice of San Angelo and Concho Health and Rehab.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Eden Funeral Home.

Sammy in 'cahoots' with Sherrill was the one that would not take no for an answer and encouraged me to cook at the Ladies State championship in Seguin for the first time. We had some nice times cooking chili with her and missed her after she could no longer compete. See you down the Chili road Sammy.
