Sammy was born on May 27, 1942 and passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Sammy was a resident of Prosser, Washington at the time of his passing. Sam served twenty years in the United States Army and retired as a Master Sergeant in the 1995. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday November 27 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside WA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 28 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside WA with military honors. Burial will follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside WA. Following the graveside service there will be a time of fellowship and potluck at the Sunnyside V.F.W. Those wishing to honor Samâs memory may contribute to the Wounded Warriors at 615 North Ave. Sunnyside Washington 98944.

Sam and I were classmates at Lind, WA. We remained friends for the rest of our lives. Sam was a loyal friend and we shared many interests together. We are all keeping Frances and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
