Aged 13 Years 6 Months.
Beloved and adored Son of Colin, Sharryn and Grant. Loving and very special Brother of Jessika, Brandon, Joshua and Imogen. Loving beautiful Grandson of Faye and Errol (dec'd) Lawson, Sandra and Tom Smith. He will be sadly missed by their Families.
Family, Friends and School Mates are invited to attend a Celebration of Sam's Life to be held in the Lakeview Chapel at the Albany Creek Memorial Park, 400 Albany Creek Road, Bridgeman Downs, on Tuesday, 12th April, 2011 at 11a.m.
No flowers by request, donations to the Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

Hi Sammy
Here we are celebrating another Christmas without you, we are all together at my house having Christmas in the backyard around the pool this year. I'm sure you would have loved it and would of been there helping Uncle Dwayne, Scott and Adam do the gardens for nanny. I have just finished cleaning up and it is time to say hello to you and to wish you all the very best and do hope you are having lots of fun up there with Grand Dad. Another christmas gone without you Sam, but we did talk about you & laugh at some of our fond memories.....and we have heaps of those. We didn't put a gift under the tree for you, but we gave your christmas bonus to the "Asthma Foundation"....somehow we thought you would appreciate that. We really miss you, but time is helping us cope with our grief. We have little moments when we know you are helping us get on with life without you, just little things..... and they do help ! We get a lot of comfort from lighting your special candle whether its a special occasion or not......its our way of keeping you as close as possible. So wish you were here for Jess's big event coming up, you would have been so proud to become "Uncle Sam". You will always be with us, and we will never let go......love you heaps !!

Had a lovely morning yesterday at the Royal Children's Hospital Remembrance Day. Grant, Mum, Immy and Josh and I made a special candle for you with all your favourite things on it.... soccer ball, butterflies, flowers, stars and lots more, there was even a dinosaur. We had a special time thinking of you and all the wonderful times we have all shared together. We are all doing okay but how we wish you were here with us. Sam. I still have emotional breakdowns where I can cry uncontrollably, there is no doubt I have depression from missing you, but I also remember the good times we shared. You made me laugh so much. You still are my most favorite person in the world.I tried to run away to the centre of Australia, but I cant run away from the emptiness in my heart. I keep going to all the places we used to hang out- but they don't feel the same anymore. Everyone says time heals all wounds- but I will never accept your death. It's just not fear! Every day I replay the conversations of the doctor telling us that you would not recover, and I wanted to belt the words right back into his mouth! I miss you so much mate! I will love you forever. I no longer fear death- I just see it now as a way to be with you again for the rest of eternity. No one could ever imagine what adventures we got up to and I am extremely grateful for the time we had together. I know you are still near me- I fell your presense all the time. You grew up to be such a mature young man and I was always genuinly proud of who you became. You are my hero. I love you forever.

What a beautiful website, what a beautiful boy so so beautiful. Just to look at his photos breaks my heart, Sam had so much to live for you can see it in his smile - he loved life and lived life to the full. I did not know Sam but I have had the opportunity to meet his Mum and Dad and all I can say is my thoughts are with you as you try to come to terms with the loss of Sam.

Tonight my little 5 year old Alex & I read a goodnight book & on one of the pages was a beautiful rainbow....Alex asked me if it was 'Sammy's Rainbow', because whenever i see a rainbow I always say 'there's Sammy's Rainbow'.....tonight Alex asked me why is it 'Sammy's Rainbow'? I told him it's because that is Sammy's way of showing us he's here with us always, even if he's in heaven he is always always around. It just brought a tear to my eye. Sam, the last time I saw you we rode the little steam trains up at Nambour together, with Jess. Your Nan & Pop brought you up from Brisbane for the day to Michelles. Your Aunty Michelle & your Dad Colin are my cousins. The pain of your loss has reached much further than you could have ever imagined. No parent should ever have to grieve a child. To Colin & Sharryn, as a parent myself I cannot imagine what the past few weeks have been like for you both. My heart goes out to you both individually for your tragic loss of your son.
