Samuel E. "Sam" Ford

1931-2016 Samuel E. Sam Ford, 84, of Boerne, TX passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. Sam was born on October 10, 1931, to Thelma and Clifton Ford. He had one older sister, Nancy. He attended Texas A& I University. Sam was a cowboy at heart and worked on several ranches in South Texas while growing up. Sam's love of the outdoors throughout his life time allowed him to spend many wonderful years on his ranches, camps and bird hunts where he and Marcy loved to entertain their family, friends and customers. There was always lots of food, beer and laughter. Sam was the owner of S.E. Ford Equipment Company and President of American Industrial Painters Inc. As a business man for 45 years, he had various interests. He served as President of the West Jefferson County Municipal Water District, was a member of the Independent Cattleman's Association and also served on the board of Directors of First National Bank of Port Neches and Texas Bank of Beaumont. Sam is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcia Marcy Ford; three daughters, Leslie Ford, Lisa Ford Dishman and her husband Bill, Lee Ann Braley and her husband Tom; and three grandchildren, Erin Dishman Silva and her husband Al, Ford Dishman and Sam Braley. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Stella, Adam and Sam Silva, and several nieces and a nephew. Our father will be missed by so many. A memorial service will be held at St. Helena's Episcopal Church, 410 North Main, Boerne, Texas, on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in lieu of flowers: St. Helena's Episcopal Church at P.O.
