Samuel Irvin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 4, 2024.
Samuel ("Sammy") Forrest Irvin entered this world on July 12, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He spent his childhood in transition, moving from Oklahoma, to Texas, to Pennsylvania, to Missouri. The constant through those moves was his desire to be a mechanic, dreaming of working on the muscle cars he loved. He read all he could and honed his artistic abilities as well as his love of music and all things car-related. He loved to draw and often shared his art with his family and friends.

Though he faced much adversity in his life, his resilience and grit were unparalleled.

He knew what he wanted from this life and worked to get it.

As an adult, Sam continued to show the world his resilience; especially after surviving a welding accident and traumatic brain injury in 2012. He returned to work as a welder and mechanic, always focused on the goals he set for himself. In the past few years, he finally found his hard work paying off. He purchased his dream home- a 28' travel trailer- and made plans to see the world with his love, Heather, and his support chihuahua, Pepper.

After years of overcoming obstacles and working harder than anyone else, Sam left this world unexpectedly on April 20, 2024, in Liberty, Missouri. He left at peace, asleep in the trailer he had worked so hard to own. May we all be so fortunate to achieve our goals before leaving this world.

Sam joins other family members at rest, including his mother, Judy Anderson; his sister, Ginger Corene "Cory" Irvin; his grandfather, Forrest J. Irvin; and his uncle, Stephen W. Irvin.

He is grieved by his remaining family: his father and step-mother, Samuel and Liz Irvin; his siblings, Amanda Irvin-Black (Stacie Black) and Jake Irvin; his fiancee, Heather Price, and her daughters; his grandmothers, Sandra Wymore and Sherry Irvin; his aunt, Audrey Easley (Dennis Randol); his uncles, Richard Irvin (Carol) and Claude Easley; his cousins, Andrew Maxwell, Aaron Maxwell, Jade Irvin, and Sean Irvin; and his friends and coworkers.

Sam will be remembered for his love for his family, his resiliency, and his love of music, art, and tattoos. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held on May 20, 2024 in Parkville, Missouri, with a memorial to follow in Galveston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help cover his final expenses at https://www.gofundme.com/f/tf3zq-support-sams-final-journey
