Family-Placed Obituary


RAGLAND, Mr. Samuel J. Jr. of Dayton departed Monday, November, 21, 2005. A graduate of Central State University, member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and a retiree of Monsanto Research Laboratories. Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel J. Sr. and Ladora S. Ragland; 1 sister, Maria Kerley; 4 brothers, Roderick, Bunny, Sylvester and Paul Ragland. Survived by loving and devoted children: Deboria Johnson, Robin Ragland-Moore, Samuel III, Donovan Craig (Donna) and LaMont Ragland; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 devoted sisters, Vinnie Harmon and Isabel (Arthur) Glover and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, November 28, 2005 at Wayman A.M.E. Church, 3317 Hoover Ave. Rev. Dr. Ronald L. Glenn officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. A special thanks to the staff of Shiloh Springs Care Center. Services respectfully rendered by H.H. Roberts.
