Samuel Goodman Raudenbush died on his 85th birthday, December 23, 2016, in Greeley, CO. Son of the late Samuel Hunsberger Raudenbush and Hattie Goodman Raudenbush, he was born in Schrack’s Corner, PA in 1931, and spent most of his life living in the Lansdale and Harleysville areas before relocating to Nebraska and Colorado for the past 15 years. Samuel graduated from Lansdale High School in 1949. He served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S.Navy from 1950-1954. Samuel excelled in his 34 year professional career in healthcare, retiring as the Director of Materials Management at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, after 24 years, in 1995. He served as president of The Association for Health Resources, Materials Management (AHRMM), 1988-1989, and was inducted into the honorary Bellwether League’s Hall of Fame in 2009. Sam was an avid sports enthusiast and will be remembered for his zest for life, his sharp mind, wit, and sense of humor. He is survived by wife, Peggy, in Greeley, CO, along with her adult children: Shawn Rhodes, Castle Rock, CO; Dawn Johnson (husband Paul) and step grandchildren Marlee and Shawn; former wife, Mae Raudenbush, Lancaster County, PA along with their three adult children and two adult grandsons: his Sister, Lois Peterman of Lansdale, Daughter, Debra Raudenbush, Lancaster County, and her sons Jan (wife Dana Paparo) and Andrew Watson; and sons, Robin Raudenbush, Lancaster County; Brian Raudenbush (wife Shauna), in Draper, Utah. A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2017, St. Peter’s Covenant Church, Hilltown, PA at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Weld County Colorado Humane Society (Phone: 970-506-9550).
