Diane R. Thomas Royal

December 21, 2006 Diane R. Thomas Royal, 42, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a life resident of Syracuse and retired from the Syracuse City School District after 14 years as a teacher's assistant. Diane was a member of the Valley Worship Center Church of the Nazarene. Survivors: her husband of 15 years, Marcel Royal; daughters, Janay Huffman, Mazia, Davinea, Martasia, Davine and Daja Royal, all of Syracuse; sons, Ernest Huffman Jr. of Florida and Shefell Huffman of Syracuse; mother, Marjorie Linzy; father, John A. Thomas; and stepfather, Roland T. Smith, all of Syracuse; sisters, Cassandra Wright of Atlanta and Sharita Holms of California; paternal grandmother, Etta Montgomery of Alabama; and a host of aunts and uncles.
