To ALL Grandpa Sam's family...I don't know many of you...but I knew Sam all my life! He's always been there with Granny...always telling stories and having his dog do tricks. He and I shared many interests...airplanes, trains, the universe! I have so many airplanes I cherish, hand built by him. He gave me my first train...I still put it up every Christmas so it can circle our Christmas tree.. and I want you to know his memory will live on each time it circles our tree. My little brother and sisters are very young... (I'm 14)..and they probably won't remember a whole lot about him...but I will fill them in through their years! I live in Missouri and I won't make it there for the funeral (my PaPa Davis probably will)...but I want you to know how very sad I am. My Grandma Karen mailed a card last night with a picture of Granny & Sam holding me when I was a baby...and then another of us on the porch swing...we couldn't decide which ones to send...but those were some of our favorites. We will miss him so much...as will Granny I know...he was such a good companion for her for so many years...my heart, as well as Felicity, Felix, Promise Cantrell (my sisters & brother) and (my mom) Krystal Cantrell, and (my grandma)Karen Miller's go out to you. With love, David Hammer
