Samuel Temple Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 9, 2025.
Samuel Thomas Temple, lovingly known as Tom, Tommy, and Poppy, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born August 23, 1958, Tom was a lifelong fan of music, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, watching movies, following horse racing, reading, and collecting comic books. But above all else, his greatest love was his family.

On February 23, 1980, Tom married the love of his life, Anna Marie (Kaemmerer). Together, they built a beautiful love story and family, raising three children: Thomas Temple (Tommy), Adam Temple (married to Emilie), and Rachel Fields (married to Brian). Tom devoted his life to them and embodied what it means to be a husband, father, and role model. He was always the funniest guy in the room, and everyone who knew him was drawn to his humor, warmth, and love for life.

He was "Poppy" to his beloved grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Logan (son of Tommy), Braeden, Charlotte, and Jack (children of Adam and Emilie), and Nolan, Emma, and Luke (children of Rachel and Brian).

Tom is also survived by his sisters, Carol Bryant and Sharon Pansing (married to Terry), as well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Wannetta Temple.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. A celebration of Tom's life will be held 1:00pm - 5:00pm November 23rd at Shall We Dance Ballroom and Studio in Louisville, KY. An additional celebration will be held in St. Louis on Tuesday, November 25th. Details to follow.
