Samuel "Wayne" Davis

Samuel "Wayne" Davis, age 55, of Mentor, unexpectedly passed away on July 8, 2024. Wayne was born on April 26, 1969. He worked in the healthcare field for many years, mainly as an EMT for a private ambulance service. He was also a registered medical assistant. Wayne loved the outdoors, walking his furbaby Bruiser, gardening, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He was always the first to offer his assistance whether it be washing dishes at a gathering or long-term care of a loved one. Wayne was the cherished husband of John Burke, Jr.; son of Sheila Magurie (deceased) and his "Pops" David "Lode" Kutinsky (deceased); brother of James I. (deceased) and Judith (deceased); Godfather of Stephen W. (deceased); son-in-law of John Sr. (deceased) and Erika Burke; bonus grandson of Lottie Schanz (deceased); and brother-in-law of Tammy & Rex Harris, Frank & Kim Burke, Sue & Rick Schmalzried, Denise & Mike Duleba. Wayne was the favorite uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves many cherished friends, including Steve Gagliardi and Caroline Tackla. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Shoregate United Methodist Church, 30500 Bayridge Blvd., Willowick, Ohio.
