Sam Westbrook came into our Lord Jesus’ embrace on December 26th, before daybreak. He was re-joined with his daughter Sammi and his grandson Bryan.
Sam is survived by his lifelong love and wife Dotti, his son Darrin, Daughter-in-law Anne, 2 granddaughters, 3 great- granddaughters, numerous family and friends.
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Sam served in the U.S. Navy for 4 ½ years and is a Korea War Veteran. He then set out and fell in love with his bride to be. After 3 years “Dot” tied the knot and became his bride of 57 ½ years before our Lord called him home. Sam and his wife raised their 2 very blessed children in Simi Valley before moving to Atascadero, in 1979. Sam was a renowned plumber in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.
Sam was a huge fan of Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, and Dean Martin. He was also a long-term member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, the National Rifle Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Everyone who knew Sam knows this much; that he had a heart of gold, was a compassionate giver, incredibly likeable and lovable, a hard worker among men, and loved to entertain and feast with family and friends at every opportunity. Sam loved the sound of rain, especially when it brought its companions of lightning and thunder.
It’s not just his sense of humor, his kindness, his many expressions of love, or the joy that Sam brought to the lives of his family and friends, but his effortless, genuine display of what a gentleman, a husband, a father, and a friend truly is.
Countless times of every day will not go by where this beautiful man is not thought of, missed, appreciated, or loved. Forever loved, never forgotten…….until we meet again! Arrangements under the direction of Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, Paso Robles, CA.

Dad, now that you're in the presence of God our Father, you know how DEEPLY my love, gratitude, appreciation, and respect are for you. I can't thank God enough for giving you to us, to me. I miss you Dad. I always will while I'm in the human experience. Dad, when you left, you took a big part of me with you. You also left a big part of you, with me. Besides being the greatest father I could have ever wished for, you are the best man I've ever known. Thank you for everything you've done, and are, Dad. I LOVE You forever, Your son, Darrin
