69, died peacefully on November 18, 2015 surrounded by her family. Sandy was born November 9, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Margie Green.

Sandi graduated from Angela Merici High School Class of 1964. While attending Angela Merici, Sandi played and lettered in Field Hockey, was a member of the Choir and the Bowling Team were she has two 300 career games to her credit. She later attended Sullivan College where she earned a degree in Computer programming.

A loving and caring mother, Sandi's family was a very important part of her life and she was very proud of each of her three children, nieces and nephews and especially her grandchildren. Sandi always enjoyed being around her family and friends reminiscing about the past, present and future. Over the years she collected a large number of porcelain Guardian Angels as a hobby. She also loved to watch food and cooking channels. She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching on TV her favorite football teams ( Northwestern and Chicago Bears ) as well as listening to Trinity High School Football games on the radio.

Sandi was preceded in death by her loving Parents, Joseph "Bud" and Margie Green. Her late Husband William 'Bill" Taylor. Her Grandmother Margaret Stonestreet, and her Aunt Lucille Henson.

Sandi is survived by her husband, Ed Slater, Her Three Children, Patrick Deem, Brian Deem (Erin), Shannon Metcalf (Rick), Her Brother Joseph "Joe" Green ( Judy ), Seven Grandchildren, Stacy Barmore ( Ben ), Zachary Deem, Nicholas Deem, Rachel Metcalf, Amber Metcalf, Amanda Metcalf, Emory Deem. Her niece Michelle Green, nephews Joseph Green III (April), and David Green ( Kelly)

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Psychical therapists, who have helped along the way and special thanks to the wonderful nurses and aides at Baptist East Hospital that not only enriched Sandi's life but her family's as well during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Sandi's life will be conducted Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private inurnment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Monday at the funeral home.

Shannon, Rick, Rachael, Amber, and Amanda, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know you all will have a painful void in your hearts and lives for a very long time that will only bring tears but that void will slowly be filled with wonderful memories of Sandi that will out of the blue one day make you smile and feel a warmth that you never knew could exist.
